Lauren Magee, AIA, is an executive level registered architect with 20+ years of experience in the profession. Her practice began with custom residential design and expanded to include school design and community-based projects. Lauren excels in implementing design-thinking strategies and facilitating multi-disciplinary group work in planning, design, visioning and problem-solving across public and private sectors. Lauren balances her role as an architect with research, policy and practice: she was elected to the Vernon Township Board of Education and served as its vice-president for a Pre-K-12 school district; she was appointed as her district representative to the Facilities Planning Advisory Council to the Fairfax County Board of Ed; and she has years of experience teaching architecture studios and seminars at Illinois Institute of Technology and Drexel University.
